Jessie:
I will be writing about vertebrates. There are many types of vertebrates. Did you know that we are vertebrates? We are because we have a back bone. Other vertebrates are mammals, birds, and fish. Some vertebrates are cold-blooded. This means that they get their energy and warmth from the temperature around them. One example of a animal that are cold-blooded is a frog. Some are warm-blooded. This means that they get their energy and warmth from the food they eat. An example of an warm-blooded animal is a bear. Here is a video about vertebrates: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRKoGO7hNXg, This is all about vertebrates. |
Sofia: I will be researching invertebrates. There are many invertebrates. They are animals such as mealworms, cuttle fish, snow crabs and monarch butterflies. Monarch butterflies live for a short period of time. They only live for about six-eight months. They eat only two things throughout their entire life. They eat milkweed and nectar from flowers. They also lay their eggs in the milkweed too. Dragonflies are invertebrates. They are very amazing creatures. Dragonflies were one of the first insects to evolve. They started to evolve around three hundred million years ago. They have excellent vision. They are also masters at flying. Squid are invertebrates. They can grow up to 39-46 ft long. They are the longest invertebrate in the world. The smallest is the Sepiolid Squid .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCWop491Q9Y |
